On a Mac it’s easy, go into the Apple menu, choose “About this mac” and there it is. The name of the MacOS and the version #.
Not so easy on Windows 10. Go into Settings -> System and choose About. Here’s where the confusion begins. You can see you’re on Windows 10 and the version number. But what does version number 1607 mean? Or 1703?
Version 1607 is last years Anniversary Update. But the only way to know that is to do a google search. Version 1703? That’s the new Creators Update. Microsoft might want to reconsider the version numbers. If you’re going to give your versions names (Creators Update), why not make the version a name instead of a number that no one but an IT person would understand.
